GRID UK - Clean energy for Infrastructure, Investment, Innovation, Connectivity, Regional Growth and much more…
Clean energy is not just about fulfilling the Net Zero ambition, cutting carbon and achieving national resilience.
The UK is rewiring its economy in a £40 bn plan to create opportunity for all, across the country.
GRID UK conference and platform is charting its progress - sharing the vision, showcasing the engineering projects that are delivering it, and providing a forum for future collaboration, creating the new reality.
The country is on its way to meeting a doubling of demand for electricity and just five years away from its first major milestone – Clean Power 2030 where Great Britain generates enough electricity from clean sources to meet its total annual demand and accounts for at least 95% of its total electricity generation.
New clean energy industries and supply chains are setting the foundations that will establish the UK as a world leader in sustainable energy generation, creating jobs, building exports and growing demand for new skills.
GRID-UK is committed to exploring the full extent of this strategy by focusing on the priorities the transition is creating - including the completion of the new national transmission and connection infrastructure, procurement frameworks and supply chains, digital frameworks and technical innovations and Regional Energy Strategic Plans.
The conference agenda is shaped around four core themes – Infrastructure, Investment, Innovation and Growth.
It will consist of a mixture of plenaries, workshops and roundtables, and will be guided by an expert advisory panel.
Its conclusions will be widely shared, contributing to the acceleration of our sustainable energy future.
Whether you are a consumer, supplier or generator of sustainable energy, GRID-UK provides a platform for sharing knowledge and joining the national conversation.
